The financial world is complex, with constantly changing legislation that financial planners are required to stay updated on. Even if your situation isn’t complicated, a financial planner can offer an objective perspective and help you explore the best options to achieve your financial goals.

Successful and wealthy people often seek professional financial advice, knowing it puts them in a better position.  A common misconception in financial planning is that people either think they don’t have enough money for a financial adviser or believe they can manage their finances just as well on their own.

We created Game Plan with the goal to provide affordable and accessible financial advice to everyday Australian families.

You could – just like how you could also service your car yourself if you wanted to.

But most people still take their car to a mechanic – why? Because a mechanic has the ideal tools, knowledge, and experience to do it better, faster and right the first time. Similarly, financial planners have access to better products, tools and systems to compare options, and the expertise to make tailored recommendations.

While you could manage your own finances, a financial adviser can deliver better results with less time, effort, and costly trial errors.

Making financial decisions can also be highly emotional, and it helps to have an objective expert to guide you on the right path to ensure you and your family are on the same page and moving in the right direction.

Our goal is help you make smart choices about money. We’re here to simply your path to financial freedom by:

  • Guiding you through the complex world of finance, making complicated terms easy to understand so you gain financial literacy and confidence.
  • Creating a 100% customised financial plan based on your unique situation, goals, and risk tolerance which gives you a clear and actionable roadmap to your financial future.
  • Finding the best investment, superannuation, and insurance products tailored to your needs, eliminating the overwhelm of too many choices.
  • Provide you with ongoing support. We don’t just leave you to do all the heavy lifting, but we help with the implementation and ongoing review of your plan. It’s like seeing a Personal Trainer – the value is not only in the workout plan alone, but in the ongoing coaching, keeping you motivated to achieve your goals and adjusting the plan to suit your needs at any point in time.

It’s never too early or too late to start managing your finances— however, in our opinion, the sooner, the better.

Often, people come to see us as they approach significant milestones events (such as starting a family, changing jobs, starting a business or buying a home) and they are uncertain about what direction to take. We help provide clarity over your options and help you feel confident in your decision-making.

Great question! The cost depends on your situation and the complexity of the advice you need. Your fee is based on your needs and the time required to implement them.

The simpler the plan the less it costs.

Some of the cost may be absorbed by insurance commissions we take if you apply for new insurance policies. We will explain this to you in advance so you can choose whether to pay a commission through the product, or a direct fee to us.

In the initial meeting, we can give you a ballpark range of costs. We will always be upfront about the fees you will be charged well in advance so you can agree to proceed or not.

Growing up in Australia to migrant parents, money always meant safety and security to me. Watching my parents handle money wisely also meant watching them unlock possibilities. From giving me and my brother a stellar education to travelling overseas every year and owning their family home, money was simply a pathway to their ideal life.

In 2009, I started an internship at a small financial planning practice. It opened my eyes to the world of financial planning as a genuine career path. It wasn’t just about numbers, it was about people – helping people get unstuck, map out their goals and help them practically achieve them.  I quickly realised, that this was the only thing I wanted to do with my career.

After soaking up 2.5 years of wisdom at the small practice, I then spent the next 13 years in comprehensive wealth management firm for high-net wealth individuals, before teaming up with Alicia to start Game Plan Wealth Advisers, where the adventure continues!

Over my career, I have helped people with a diverse range of needs and I pride myself on my empathetic and down-to-earth approach.
